Brewtique Beer Shop

February 13, 2014

I have always relished a good branding exercise, and it goes without saying that I love a good beer! I also love local, independent business – you could say this job was right up my street.

Brewtique is a stylish new shop that opened in Macclesfield’s up & coming area The Castle Quarter, specialising in artisan bottled craft beers & IPAs. The client required a corporate identity, business cards & ideas for signage for the new premises.

I took a classic approach utilising slab serif typography reminiscent of 1930’s prohibition America, an era of artisan techniques. I then gave the design a modern twist by implementing a striking, bold colour scheme.

I also designed & oversaw the print of the cards using a recycled board with a two sided litho finish to further establish the brands artisan, quality credentials.

Finally, I applied the new branding to a mock up visual of the shop front which was used by the client.
